1. Chris Forsyth - Solar Motel (Expanded) (2023) 48-24 Country: USA Genre: Psychedelic Rock Format: FLAC (*tracks) Quality: Lossless [48kHz/24 bit] Time: 01:17:43 Full Size: 837.58 MB Over the last two decades Philadelphia-based guitarist Chris Forsyth has released over a dozen critically lauded albums that have established him as one of today's most unique and acclaimed guitar player /composers - a forward-thinking classicist synthesizing cinematic expansiveness with a pithy lyricism and rhythmic directness that makes even his 20-minute workouts feel as clear, direct, and memorable as a 4-minute song. In retrospect, Forsyth's career can be divided into two periods: Before "Solar Motel" and After "Solar Motel." Originally released in 2013, "Solar Motel" was named after a run-down old lodge in New Jersey, near where Chris grew up. The Motel was a halfway point between his home and City Gardens and 10 minutes from the Princeton Record Exchange, two beacons in the cultural void of the northeast corridor suburbs. Upon its release, the record - his first full-band project - was considered his most ambitious and sublime work of "Cosmic Americana" to date, and the idea of the Motel also figured into a band where vacancies would open and close. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yy7AAaiQD8I&list=OLAK5uy_ktZ7KbSjZJb8D6OL6VLmBj8SqCUW6dPqo https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AHogI2QRee4&list=OLAK5uy_ktZ7KbSjZJb8D6OL6VLmBj8SqCUW6dPqo Download from HotLink https://hotlink.cc/t4e79rsee0le
2. Blood, Sweat & Tears - Blood, Sweat & Tears (Expanded Edition) (2022) 176.4-24 Country: USA Genre: Jazz Rock, Psychedelic Rock Format: FLAC (*tracks) Quality: Lossless [176 Khz/24 bit] Time: 01:09:23 Full Size: 2.99 GB The difference between Blood, Sweat & Tears and the group's preceding long-player, Child Is Father to the Man, is the difference between a monumental seller and a record that was "merely" a huge critical success. Arguably, the Blood, Sweat & Tears that made this self-titled second album -- consisting of five of the eight original members and four newcomers, including singer David Clayton-Thomas -- was really a different group from the one that made Child Is Father to the Man, which was done largely under the direction of singer/songwriter/keyboard player/arranger Al Kooper. They had certain similarities to the original: the musical mixture of classical, jazz, and rock elements was still apparent, and the interplay between the horns and the keyboards was still occurring, even if those instruments were being played by different people. Kooper was even still present as an arranger on two tracks, notably the initial hit "You've Made Me So Very Happy." But the second BS&T, under the aegis of producer James William Guercio, was a less adventurous unit, and, as fronted by Clayton-Thomas, a far more commercial one. Not only did the album contain three songs that neared the top of the charts as singles -- "Happy," "Spinning Wheel," and "And When I Die" -- but the whole album, including an arrangement of "God Bless the Child" and the radical rewrite of Traffic's "Smiling Phases," was wonderfully accessible. It was a repertoire to build a career on, and Blood, Sweat & Tears did exactly that, although they never came close to equaling this album. © William Ruhlmann & Bruce Eder /TiVo https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SFEewD4EVwU&list=OLAK5uy_kpIULUpIpqShx9-3B0qDFcseb2cUyGCpM&index=7 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6ltXpCYDXKg&list=OLAK5uy_kpIULUpIpqShx9-3B0qDFcseb2cUyGCpM&index=2 Download from HotLink https://www.keeplinks.org/p72/64077afab39cb
3. Jade Warrior - Released (Expanded) 1971 (2022) 44.1-24 Country: UK Genre: Progressive Rock Format: FLAC (*tracks) Quality: Lossless [44,1kHz/24 bit] Time: 51:33 Full Size: 540.16 MB If Jade Warrior's second album has any overwhelming flaw, it is that its predecessor traveled so far off the conventional beaten tracks of early-'70s prog that anything less than absolute reinvention could only be regarded as a rerun of past glories. To write off Released as little more than a slapdash shadow of Jade Warrior, however, is to overlook the leaps and bounds that the band did make. The opening "Eyes On You" journeys in on a positively spiky guitar and horn duel, while Glyn Havard's vocals have taken on tones that are far-removed from the Jethro Tull-shaped nuances with which they were once most readily compared. Staggering, too, are the almost bluesy guitar work-outs that leap unexpectedly in and out of the mix, overwhelming all but the most ferocious elements elsewhere in the arsenal -- judging only by the crescendo that closes it, "Three Horned Dragon King" could not have been better named. Similarly, "Water Curtain Cave" is as much a melting of souls as it is a gentle song, while other numbers tackle light jazz and classical prog without once vacating the band's accustomed framework of brilliance. Again, there is little here that Jade Warrior itself did not predict, but the unerring delivery of those predictions is a marvel in itself. © Dave Thompson /TiVo https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3SquZgXmdIs https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fyedr71mG7E&list=OLAK5uy_lR-PEfflLojWEoiBvZNg2zDHRyP5uxlgQ&index=5 Download from HotLink https://hotlink.cc/folder/4ce087f8-c7d2-11ec-a2c7-0cc47ac4f47e
