Though both are classically trained, with Dojnikowska formally studying classical piano for 12 years in Poland and Davis earning a degree in music composition in the US, together the pair opt to trade academic intellectualism for simple beauty. This is evidenced by the duo's restrained use of piano and ambient guitar textures, elevated to etheria by Dojnikowska's soft and multilayered alto, a voice described by music producer James Plotkin as "a beacon of light." Proclaimed as "exquisite" by Rhodium Publishing, Glowworm is "for anyone in search of either personal or musical peace." Though strongly influenced by a mixture of drum-less ambient and classical music, Glowworm's history is also rooted in rock. Glowworm's debut album The Coachlight Woods received worldwide acclaim upon its release for its atmospheric post-rock, recorded in 2007 by Davis with drummer Jesse Robert W. (both former members of the shoegaze band Pacific UV). Davis' music has since been featured extensively in national media, including HBO's Californication and on the popular public radio program This American Life. After initially working with Davis on the 2020 album "Midnight Intervals," Dojnikowska and Davis found such rapport both musically and spiritually that Dojnikowska was asked to become a full-time member in 2021. Over the next two years, amid many remixes and collaborations, a new full-length album was recorded, partially in Poland and partially in the US, this time leaning into their new sound as a duo, and largely centered around Dojnikowska's presence as a pianist and vocalist. "Whereas 'Midnight Intervals' was a somber reflection on the dark night of the soul, I always knew the next album was about the joy that comes in the morning," says Davis. An apt description of the duo's upcoming album, "Harvest" encapsulates this supremely in its palpable tenderness and emanation of light. Founded upon country-rock and melancholic folk, the so-called Loner's art shines ever brightly throughout this fourth album, released back in February 1972. It is a gold mine full of bucolic, pastoral gems, recorded with a new group of brilliant musicians called the Stray Gators, with Ben Keith on steel guitar, Kenny Buttrey on drums, Tim Drummond on bass, and the great Jack Nitzsche on piano and arrangement. Harvest, which frequently displays his tumultuous relationship with actress Carrie Snodgress (mother of his first son Zeke) also incorporates some impressive somber moments, such as in 'The Needle and the Damage Done' - a stunning ballad about his guitarist Danny Whitten's heroin addiction, who died of an overdose in November that same year, just after being kicked out of the band by Neil Young. But behind the 'peace and love' bliss enhanced by contributions from David Crosby, Stephen Stills and Graham Nash as well as James Taylor and Linda Ronstadt, Harvest remains a rich, tormented and melodically flawless work - one on which the violins of the London Symphony Orchestra ('A Man Needs a Maid' and 'There's a World') are handled with care and taste. It is an album that will influence many future generations, and which celebrates its 50th birthday with this luxurious edition decked out with an additional 17 tracks. Descrizione Iron Harvest è un gioco strategico in tempo reale (RTS) ambientato in una realtà alternativa del cosiddetto “1920+”, subito dopo la fine della Grande Guerra. Il gioco consente di controllare dei mech giganteschi, in una combinazione di epiche campagne per giocatore singolo e in coop, nonché di scontri sul campo di battaglia ricchi di azione per chi preferisce la modalità multigiocatore: Iron Harvest è il classico gioco strategico in tempo reale che i fan aspettavano da tempo. La tradizione fa a pugni con il progresso scientifico e tecnologico, mentre l'Europa sta ancora tentando di riprendersi dopo le brutali battaglie della Guerra Mondiale. Le città sono in fase di ricostruzione e nelle campagne è iniziata l'era della Raccolta del ferro. Gli agricoltori trovano i resti delle maestose e lente macchine da guerra usate nei combattimenti sui campi di battaglia della Grande Guerra. In mezzo a tutto questo trambusto, emerge una nuova minaccia che metterà a rischio l'esistenza stessa dell'Europa. Forze segrete utilizzano ogni risorsa possibile per destabilizzare interi Stati, allo scopo di dare nuovamente fuoco al mondo e, infine, prenderne il controllo. Featuring such classic tracks as 'In My Life', 'Jonathan', 'Titles' (a hit single in Europe), 'Moongirl', 'Hymn For The Children', 'Song For You' and 'One Night'. This two disc edition of the album has been newly remastered from the recently discovered original stereo master tapes and also features a 1975 re-recording of 'Child Of The Universe', (intended for an American single release but later shelved), and an NTSC/Region Free DVD with a 5.1 Surround Sound up-mix (derived from the stereo master tapes due to the loss of the original multi-track tapes) and the bonus visual feature of five promotional films shot in 1975 to accompany the album release.
