The album is a free-flowing 9-song collection of genre blending would-be hits suited for both 70s AM Gold and FM Album Rock that never received its proper due, until now. As Metallica was then doing, Mustaine accentuates the progressive tendencies of his compositions, producing rhythmically complex, technically challenging thrash suites that he and Friedman burn through with impeccable execution and jaw-dropping skill. Thanks to Mustaine's focus on the music rather than his sometimes clumsy lyrics, Rust in Peace arguably holds up better than any other Megadeth release, even for listeners who think they've outgrown heavy metal. Con un capello di Superman, che ha rubato in un museo e con l'aiuto di grandi macchinari genetici, riesce ad ottenere una creatura con le stesse caratteristiche dell'eroe: l'Uomo Nucleare, le cui immense energie vengono alimentate dal sole. Ma la creatura di Luthor è malvagia come lui e vuole solo il male. Dopo varie avventure, che vedono coinvolte anche le due ragazze, Superman e l'Uomo Nucleare si scontrano in un fantastico duello, che in gran parte si svolge nel cielo, poiché ambedue i contendenti hanno la capacità di volare, finché l'eroe del Bene sconfigge il Male, distruggendo il rivale. Descrizione Rage in Peace ci fa vestire i panni di un buffo e triste individuo ispirato per certi versi a Isaac ma con uno stile grafico che ricorda i capolavori di Behemoth. Inizia la giornata, ci alziamo dal letto, prendiamo il caffè e ci prepariamo per andare al lavoro, quando in ascensore appare la morte, la quale ci preannuncia la fine della nostra vita entro la giornata. Il nostro ultimo desiderio è quello di morire in pigiama e pantofole, permesso che viene accordato, a patto di riuscire a raggiungere la propria dimora passando per trappole mortali pronte ad ucciderci per poi riportarci in vita all’infinito, condannandoci ad una morte violenta e continua. Rage in Peace appare fin da subito frustrante ma maledettamente divertente e impegnativo, quella tipologia di gioco in cui la morte non spaventa il giocatore ma lo sprona a provare e riprovare, morendo di continuo sugli stessi errori. Pochi e semplici comandi a disposizione. Con lo stick analogico spostiamo il personaggio a destra o sinistra e con A saltiamo, nulla di complesso se non fosse per la presenza di pericoli mortali ad ogni passo. Da lame nascoste nel pavimento a squali nelle pozzanghere, mostri, muri di mattoni, sedie e chi più ne ha più ne metta. La difficoltà del gioco risiede nella totale assenza di avvisi su un possibile pericolo incombente, tenendoci sull’attenti per l’intera durata dell’avventura. Morire in Rage of Peace è estremamente semplice oltre che il fulcro principale dell’esperienza offerta, spronando e obbligando il giocatore a ricordare l’esatta posizione delle trappole per evitarle al tentativo successivo. Nessun rilevatore di trappole o aiuto pronto ad accompagnarci a casa riducendo il senso di frustrazione e rabbia suscitato da Rage in Peace , per l’intera durata ci ritroviamo a morire e riprovare, morire e riprovare all’infinito. Di tanto in tanto il gameplay viene spezzato dalla presenza di dialoghi con i buffi personaggi incontrati, sottotitolati in lingua inglese e da checkpoint che ci permettono di riprendere la partita dall’ultimo punto raggiunto in caso di morte. Portando a termine un livello assisteremo allo spostamento del personaggio sulla mappa, dove potremo tenere sotto controllo l’avanzamento nella Storia. Rage in Peace si suddivide in livelli, a loro volta raggruppati in mondi, dove ad attenderci alla fine degli stessi vi è un Boss, il quale adotterà strategie e attacchi differenti. I mondi spaziano dall’ufficio all’antico Egitto, con trappole e nemici unici, azzerando la conoscenza delle trappole incontrate in precedenza. Tutto questo è Rage in Peace, un gioco frenetico, divertente, impegnativo e frustrante, dove la ripetitività del gioco viene accantonata in favore di un senso di sfida che sprona il giocatore a insistere e persistere per raggiungere il finale.
