Haruka Kiyomine è un geniale lanciatore, Kei Kaname un abile ricevitore che è riuscito a guadagnarsi il soprannome di "Generale". I due alle medie formavano una temibile batteria che durante la Senior League non si limitava a vincere le partite, ma schiacciava le speranze ed i sogni della maggior parte dei giocatori con cui si scontrava. Tuttavia Kaname ha perso la memoria ed i due si sono iscritti alla Kotesashi, una scuola superiore pubblica senza alcun prestigio. Qui incontreranno altri giocatori talentuosi che avevano abbandonato il baseball dopo l'incontro con la formidabile batteria ed assieme decidono di formare un club, assente nella scuola, per ritornare a giocare a baseball e riaccendere la propria passione.
