It's Jeff Beck! Punk in spirit, obviously. As in, "I do what I want, when I want!" At the heart of the Yardbirds, who also welcomed Jimmy Page and Robert Plant into their fold, Beck's the one who makes the strings bleed, or rips them off entirely, like in the famous scene from Antonioni's cult film, Blow Up. When he was expected to go rock, he went jazz-rock. When a voice interested him (Rod "the Mod" Stewart's, for instance) he made a carnal fusion with it. And if, out of nowhere, he felt he wanted to remind the world who his idol was (Cliff Gallup, guitarist from Gene Vincent), he'd just make a tribute album, like he did with the delicious Crazy Legs in 1993. "Even if I had to do the cover of a magazine like Guitar World 400 times, I'm not that kind of guy! I'm not of that world!" It's good to know that nothing is for free in this eclectic disque, which alternates between blues, funk rock, electro metal, jazz rock and pure soul. Loud Hailer proves that Jeff Beck thinks about the music before he thinks about the guitar. And that's probably what distinguishes him from everybody else. In the autobiography Beck 01, John McLaghlin begins the preface by stating: "Jeff Beck is my all time favourite guitarist. Now what can I say?" Nothing. Another song from that soundtrack ('One of the Living') and the Bryan Adams duet 'It's Only Love' kept Tina in the charts before she returned with what was her sixth solo studio album, Break Every Rule in September '86. Originally brought together to work on Simon's solo career, the spark of creativity between Simon and Kelly was undeniable. They soon began writing original material together, much of which would end up on Dimensionaut. With a successful progressive rock album under their belts, Simon and Kelly were determined to continue the work they started with Sound of Contact. During the UK production of Simon's 4th solo album "Becoming Human", Kelly recorded a demo of the song "eMolecule" in a flurry of inspiration. With this new offering, Simon and Kelly decided their way forward was as a duo and they would pool their best material under the name eMolecule. In the summer of 2020, Emolecule decided it was time to begin work on their debut album and that it was to be a concept album. Meeting in person at Simon's studio in Ireland, the duo spent a solid month writing the concept and music start to finish. Over the following months, they completed writing, producing and performing 'The Architect' both remotely and together in Ireland. The Architect features intense, heavy guitar and drum performances as well as deep, atmospheric and emotionally driven arrangements. From start to finish, Emolecule's first offering captivates the listener with infectious vocals, dynamic guitars and ultra-modern production from the epic opening track 'eMolecule" to the powerful climax of the closing track "Moment of Truth".
