    Lovers Rain, venne pubblicato a dicembre del 1990. È importante sapere che, narrativamente, questo OAV della durata di circa 30' si pone tra la fine della serie TV e le vicende narrate in Madnight Gigs e in Last Battle. Non a caso la Yamato Video decise, a suo tempo, di porre Lovers Rain come 36º episodio nell'ultima VHS della serie, che altrimenti ne avrebbe contenuti soltanto tre. Trama La vicenda si colloca a distanza di poco tempo dalla fine della guerra: pochi mesi, se non settimane. Su una Megalocity che tenta faticosamente di tornare alla normalità delle cose cade da giorni una pioggia battente e insistente. Il che potrebbe porre la scena nel periodo tra la metà di giugno e la fine di luglio, che in Giappone coincide con la stagione delle piogge. Dei tre Borgman, Ryo è quello che sembra uscito più provato dalla fine delle ostilità, soprattutto dal punto di vista emotivo e psicologico. Il profondo senso di colpa per la morte di Memory lo attanaglia, infestando i suoi incubi notturni e impedendogli di ritrovare serenità. Le lunghe corse notturne sotto la pioggia in sella a Thunder servono solo ad acuire il suo stato di malinconia e il senso di vuoto.
