After it turned out that the recordings of the big Love Over Gold tour were all unusable for a release, the band rented the London Hammersmith Odeon on July 22 and 23, 1983, as well as the mobile recording equipment of the Rolling Stones. Mike McKenna was responsible for the recording, and Nigel Walker was used as sound engineer.
