Di fronte a una tempesta terrificante, la nave affonda, lasciando in breve tempo Pi con un'unica compagna di viaggio: la tigre Richard Parker, l'animale più temuto dello zoo paterno. Finn è convinto che sia possibile individuare la localizzazione di un antico galeone spagnolo carico di preziosi. Per fare questo però deve convincere qualcuno ad aiutarlo. Ci prova con l'ex moglie Tess con scarsi risultati fino a quando, per una rocambolesca vicenda, la incontra nuovamente sullo yacht di un riccone, Nigel Honeycut, il quale si interessa al possibile ritrovamento anche per movimentare un po' le giornate della figlia Gemma che è andata a trovarlo non certo di buon grado. La caccia può avere inizio. Ma ci sono altri interessati ai forzieri.

La Seconda Guerra Mondiale si è conclusa e anche la vita avventurosa di Rick O'Connell e della consorte Evelyn sembra ormai essersi acquietata nella routine quotidiana di un sontuoso palazzo. Ma non è così perché il passato torna a incrociare la loro strada. Nell'antichità infatti il potente imperatore cinese Han aveva cercato di raggiungere l'immortalità grazie alle arti della strega Zi Juan. Ne aveva però tradito le aspettative amorose nei confronti di un suo generale ed era stato inesorabilmente punito. Trasformato insieme al suo esercito in statue di terracotta, Han è rimasto in attesa di un ritorno che viene puntualmente causato dagli O'Connell i quali si recano a Shanghai (siamo nel 1947) per restituire ai cinesi l'Occhio di Shangri La che è giustappunto ciò che occorre (ma loro non lo sanno) per risvegliare il terribile monarca. Per di più il loro figlio Alex, ormai cresciuto e con il virus dell'archeologia nel sangue, si trova proprio da quelle parti.

Penny Dreadful è una serie televisiva statunitense e britannica di genere horror, ideata da John Logan e trasmessa su Showtime. Ethan Chandler è un esibizionista americano molto abile nell’uso di armi da fuoco, anche per questo viene assunto da Vanessa Ives che gli affida un lavoro notturno. In realtà la donna assieme a Sir Malcolm Murray è coinvolta nella caccia ad una strana creatura che ha rapito la figlia di Sir Malcolm, Mina Murray. Ethan rimane un po’ stranito dagli eventi, ed ha qualche perplessità se continuare o meno con la coppia. Lui è maggiormente interessato a scoprire la natura di questi esseri, si mette così in contatto con il dottor Victor Frankenstein. Victor ha generato una creatura umana dalla mente infantile, Proteo a cui fa da padre, ma che viene ucciso dal suo primogenito, abbandonato da Victor alla nascita, conosce prevalentemente rabbia e odio.

Penny Dreadful è una serie televisiva statunitense e britannica di genere horror, ideata da John Logan e trasmessa su Showtime. Ethan Chandler è un esibizionista americano molto abile nell’uso di armi da fuoco, anche per questo viene assunto da Vanessa Ives che gli affida un lavoro notturno. In realtà la donna assieme a Sir Malcolm Murray è coinvolta nella caccia ad una strana creatura che ha rapito la figlia di Sir Malcolm, Mina Murray. Ethan rimane un po’ stranito dagli eventi, ed ha qualche perplessità se continuare o meno con la coppia. Lui è maggiormente interessato a scoprire la natura di questi esseri, si mette così in contatto con il dottor Victor Frankenstein. Victor ha generato una creatura umana dalla mente infantile, Proteo a cui fa da padre, ma che viene ucciso dal suo primogenito, abbandonato da Victor alla nascita, conosce prevalentemente rabbia e odio.
