Descrizione Una nazione divisa da un muro: The Wall. Per superarlo e raggiungere la tua famiglia devi partecipare, e vincere, a un reality show messo in onda dal Regime. Ministry of Broadcast è un cinematic platform, una storia avvincente che fonde "1984" di Orwell con i moderni reality show. Si distingue per il cupo umorismo, le battute sarcastiche e ogni tipo di assurdità del sistema. Apparentemente costruito in una notte, il Muro non solo ha diviso un Paese, ma anche un uomo dalla sua famiglia. Per rivederla, il nostro protagonista pel di carota prenderà parte al “The Wall Show”, un reality organizzato dal Regime, che darà a tutti i concorrenti che riusciranno a passare dall’altro lato, la libertà. Tuttavia, nel suo procedere, il nostro eroe realizza fin troppo bene come funziona lo show del Regime. La promessa di libertà non è proprio quel che sembra. Ispirato a giochi come Prince of Persia (1989) e Oddworld: Abe's Exoddus, Ministry of Broadcast fa rivivere lo spirito dei cinematic platform classici dove i giocatori devono dare prova di avere riflessi felini e una sana avversione a precipitare da altezze precarie. Per raggiungere la libertà e la famiglia, devi guidare il protagonista attraverso le varie Arene, mentre sei sotto il costante e vigile occhio del Regime. Gli scenari pericolosi e fatiscenti presentano tantissimi ostacoli da superare: discese spacca-ginocchia (paura delle altezze?), cassonetti in fiamme (super puzzolenti, super fiammeggianti), fosse di spunzoni posizionate (naturalmente) nei punti peggiori, travi arrugginite pericolanti (quanta ruggine). Ma non sono niente in confronto a quel che incontrerai lungo la strada. CARATTERISTICHE: - Cinematic platform: corri, salta, schianta e scala! Fatti strada in ogni Arena man mano che la storia si scrive intorno a te. Gran parte della narrazione è svelata attraverso le sequenze d'animazione finemente integrate nell'ambiente, o da quei pezzi di dialogo che riesci a carpire mentre aggiri e schivi gli NPC. - HUD ambientale: non uno schermo ostruito da indicatori in sovrimpressione, ma tutte le informazioni utili – tra cui barra PF e minimappe – sapientemente integrate nello scenario. I suggerimenti e gli indizi sono armonizzati nel gioco, tanto che dovrai aguzzare la vista se vorrai sopravvivere a ogni Arena senza spezzarti le gambe. - Rompicapi da risolvere: usa la tua sagacia, e quando necessario un po' di brutalità, per avanzare nelle Arene. Dovrai interagire con l'ambiente per risolvere i rompicapi: affidati allo slancio del protagonista per far muovere le piattaforme, girare le leve casuali e, qualche volta, sacrifica uno o due NPC per superare le fosse di spine. - Storia e personalità: un umorismo malizioso, un sarcasmo eccezionale e una cattiveria tragicomica in perfetto equilibrio con i temi impegnativi di questo mondo distopico.
