In this album, he continued to explore the electronic instrumental sound he loved so much. If the two first albums were dedicated to Nature, Chants Magnetiques was inspired by the actions of men in their environment, in specifically human activities. We hear the sounds of trains, of wheels, metallic, mechanical noises . which do not harm the ethereal, organic sounds, the musical texture which has become Jean Michel Jarre's trademark.
