After participations as a vocalist and an organist in several bands in Porvoo or Helsinki area he joined WIGWAM in the summer of 1969. His contribution to four classic WIGWAM albums (Hard N' Horny 1969, Tombstone Valentine 1970, Fairyport 1971 and Being 1974) is essential. GUSTAVSON's style was fruitfully different from the other leading member, British-born Jim PEMBROKE, who leaned towards tighter, pop-oriented song structures. GUSTAVSON wrote more esoteric and jazzier music, and he was often compared to his main influence Steve WINWOOD of TRAFFIC, especially as a vocalist. The ultimate WIGWAM classic, Being, is for the most part GUSTAVSON's work. Both GUSTAVSON and bassist Pekka POHJOLA left WIGWAM in favour of notable solo careers, whereas WIGWAM changed the style considerably towards pop under the guidance of Jim PEMBROKE and the new guitarist Pekka RECHARDT (Nuclear Nightclub 1975 was a big commercial success). GUSTAVSON plays several keyboards including electric piano, Hammond and Moog, and he is considered one of the finest keyboardists in the Finnish jazz scene. Una serie per veri nerd ed appassionati di videogame, questa è Video Game High School. Nata come web-serie, la storia racconta la vita e le esperienze di tale BrianD alla “VG High School”, le sue difficoltà di inserimento, la rivalità con The Law, l’infatuazione per Jenny e i continui richiami da parte del preside Calhoun. Puntata dopo puntata si entra in un mondo dal quale diventa difficile uscirne, un mondo fatto di tornei a squadre, rivalità e videogames in grandissima quantità. Chi non vorrebbe frequentare una scuola così? E il senso della serie, così come la sua morale, è proprio questo: prendere una passione comune e farla diventare un capolavoro di vita; far capire a tutti che anche una cosa banale (e spesso criticata) come la passione per un videogame può diventare qualcosa di più grande. Tecnicamente parlando, VGHS è incredibile. Durante le sessioni di gioco, lo spettatore viene completamente immerso nelle sue ambientazioni; la grafica si sposta letteralmente "in game" e gli attori diventano essi stessi personaggi del gioco. Nessun dettaglio è lasciato al caso, dagli FPS, che nel telefilm rappresentano in assoluto la punta di diamante dei videogiochi, agli MMORPG, e non mancano rielaborazioni di giochi altrettanto famosi come Farmville o Mortal Kombat.
