Blood Incantation has already proven themselves, perfecting progressive death metal with 2019's Hidden History of the Human Race while branching out into exclusively synth-driven soundtrack territory with 2022's Timewave Zero. The record was produced by David and Charlie Andrew, ideal known for his work with ALT-J and Marika Hackman, with lyrics mostly written by Polly Samson, Gilmour's co-writer for the past thirty years. The album features eight new tracks along with a beautiful reworking of The Montgolfier Brothers' 'Between Two Points', which sees Romany Gilmour, who performs backing vocals across the album, on vocals and harp. Musicians contributing to the record include Guy Pratt and Tom Herbert on bass, Adam Betts, Steve Gadd and Steve DiStanislao on drums, Rob Gentry and Roger Eno on keyboards and the string and choral arrangements are by Will Gardner. The title track also features the late Pink Floyd keyboard player Richard Wright, recorded in 2007 during a 'Barn Jam' at David's house. The album's cover image, photographed and designed by renowned artist Anton Corbijn, is inspired by lyrics written by Charlie Gilmour for the album's final song 'Scattered'. " It was a time of change. Punk, disco and rap were altering the musical landscape and even this well-established progressive rock band were willing to explore new directions. Side one saw them experimenting with quirky pop ("Two weeks in Spain"), a grandiose power ballad ("I'm turning around'), syncopated funk ("Who do you think you are?") and even the punky aggression of "Betcha thought we couldn't do it. "Normal service was resumed on side two with some of their most sublime and intricate progressive stylings to date. It remains a polarizing effort amongst fans to this day, some bemused by it's diversity, others enchanted by it's versatility and sense of humor. The Missing Piece certainly proves that Gentle Giant could play anything they set their minds to. It was the last Gentle Giant album to chart in the USA. Award winning producer and musician Steven Wilson continues his association with the band, remixing the album in Dolby Atmos, Stereo and 5.1 surround sound. Animals is the tenth studio album by Pink Floyd, originally released in January 1977 .. It was recordedat the band's Britannia Row Studios in London throughout 1976 and early 1977, and was produced by the band themselves. The successful album peaked at number 2 in the UK and number 3 in the US and was recorded by band members David Gilmour, Nick Mason, Roger Waters and Richard Wright. The Animals 2018 Remix - Dolby Atmos, by James Guthrie, released on Blu-ray, which also includes High Resolution Stereo and 5.1 Mixes alongside the 1977 Original Stereo Mix. The Dolby Atmos mix goes beyond ordinary listening by immersing the listener in the music, revealing details with unparalleled clarity and depth. Listeners will feel like they are inside the song as music moves around and above them. The album artwork has been reimagined especially for this release and presented in a digipak with a 16-page booklet, a sticker and a postcard. The front cover image still includes the iconic pig floating between two chimneys of the Battersea Power Station, conceived by Roger Waters. However, for this new release, the artwork has been re-created for the modern era by Storm Thorgerson's Hipgnosis partner Aubrey 'Po' Powell and Peter Curzon from StormStudios, and shows the historic building as it looks now, complete with light projections, variations of which feature in the accompanying booklet.
