The Final Solution - Just Like Gold [1966] (2025) [96kHz/24bit]

The Final Solution - Just Like Gold [1966] (2025) 96-24 Country: USA Genre: Psychedelic, Garage Rock Format: FLAC (*tracks) Quality: Lossless [96kHz/24 bit] Time: 01:10:47 Full Size: 1.44 GB The Final Solution was among the more intriguing of the legions of bands populating the mid-1960s San Francisco rock scene. Though they rarely recorded, the outfit was captured at the height of their powers in a blistering live performance at legendary SF club The Matrix. Now officially available, this long-overdue anthology of their extant recordings is prime evidence that this band deserves to be heard. The Solution was formed in 1965 by bassist Bob Knickerbocker and guitarist Ernie Fosselius, friends at San Francisco State, then a melting pot of personalities which would fuel San Francisco's young-adult bohemian scene. Rounding out the band were John Chance on drums and John Yager on guitar and vocals. The group began by playing Haight-Ashbury dives like Haight Levels, and were soon gaining notoriety for their performances. In July of 1966, the Solution had stepped in to perform when the Great! Society had to cancel a gig at San Francisco's Matrix club. Peter Abram was running his tape deck that night and captured a dynamic set that clearly shows the band's diversity and musical chops. From the opening raga "Tell Me Again" to the propulsive folk-rock of "Time Is Here And Now" and the Dylan-esque "Bleeding Roses", the Solution's original songs leave unequivocal proof of their untapped potential. The live material has been newly transferred from Abram's original reels and expertly mastered by Dan Hersch to reveal the magic on stage that night in July 1966. In addition to "Truck Driving Son-Of-A Gun" from the Matrix performance, the CD contains an additional 6 tracks recorded in their rehearsal space in November 1966 with The Great! Society's Jerry Slick on drums. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XUXQbspiYog https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nWMi2it7RCo Download from HotLink https://www.keeplinks.org/p72/6824daa1563f9 -

Hu & The Hilltops - Ill Follow You [1966] (2023) 96-24 Country: Netherlands Genre: Rhythm & Blues, Beat, Pop Rock Format: FLAC (*tracks) Quality: Lossless [96kHz/24 bit] Time: 44:31 Full Size: 596.54 MB The only album of the band from The Hague. Created in 1965. They regularly performed in pubs and nightclubs in The Hague, performing rhythm and blues. The band caught the attention of the label "Polydor", which signed them to a contract. Their first single "Cry Me A River" (a cover of a Julie London song) reached #27 on the Top 40. After this success, the band members quit their jobs and focus solely on music. However, their second single "Can You Hear Me" did not bring them success. The group's third single "Something You Got" was recorded in September 1966 in London and reached the top of the Top 40 hit parade. Soon the group released their only album "I'll Follow You". The following year, drummer Henk van Meerbeek left the band and was replaced by Cesar Zuiderwijk (ex-"Ladybirds") and the band released a new single "Touchin' You Is Lovin' You". Then Fred de Wilde left the band to become the first (before Mariska Veres) vocalist of "Shocking Blue" and the band disbanded. On June 13, 1980, a big concert took place in The Hague, at which the newly assembled Hu And The Hilltops performed together with the bands Q 65 and Shocking Blue. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OLYc7wqFrKA https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QYSz45LtJwA Download from HotLink https://hotlink.cc/fx1iyrxl7b50
