Qualche tempo dopo gli avvenimenti del primo episodio, Mai Takano sta cercando le risposte sulla improvvisa morte di Ryuji. Dopo la morte di sua cugina Tomoko, la giornalista Reiko sente strane storie riguardo ad una videocassetta che "ucciderebbe" chiunque la veda, a distanza di una settimana esatta dalla visione. All'inizio Reiko è scettica riguardo a queste voci, ma quando viene a conoscenza della morte di un'altra persona, che aveva visto il video insieme a Tomoko, comincia ad investigare. Dopo aver visionato lei stessa la cassetta, accadono strane cose, così Reiko con l'aiuto del suo ex marito cerca di fermare il corso degli eventi prima che scocchi anche per lei l'ora della morte.
