Alas, all to no avail, as the majority of fans were not impressed with the mostly mediocre results heard on confused albums like Renewal and Cause for Conflict. Even the welcome addition of guitar ace Tommy Vetterli (ex-Coroner) lent more consistency than actual sparks to 1997's Outcast, and 1999's similarly dependable but hardly impressive Endorama eventually followed suit. Initial highlights such as "Golden Age," the title track, and "Chosen Few" are heavy on mid-paced grooves and gothic atmospherics, but still offer little songwriting redemption. For all their studiously constructed lyrics and supposed compositional maturity, they absolutely scream for some sign, any sign, of deeper emotion to snap them out of their glazed state of performed automation. Not even the keyboards that pervade the highly unorthodox "Passage to Babylon," nor the more energetic riffing contained in "Willing Sprit" can ultimately jolt the album into a higher plane of achievement, but then, Endorama still qualifies among Kreator's most cohesive statements from this under-achieving decade. This excellent album was recorded and released in 1976 and was composed and conceived to mark the landing on Mars of Nasa's Viking 2 Explorer in September of that year. For the sessions, saxophonist and woodwind player Jack Lancaster and keyboard player Robin Lumley were joined by John Goodsall on guitars, Percy Jones on bass and Phil Collins on drums. The finished album was an incredible work and paved the way for the formation of the acclaimed group Brand X soon after. This new edition of 'Marscape' has been remastered from newly discovered original master tapes. "Lancaster is the former sax player in Blodwyn Pig, but this album is better-known for its side-players: Robin Lumley, John Goodsall, Percy Jones, Phil Collins, Morris Pert... in short, Brand X! Fans of Brand X actively search out this album expecting a pre-Brand X Brand X album. Well, yes and no. One can certainly hear the Brand X style in embryonic form on some songs, but we must remember, this is really Lancaster's show. Lancaster primarily plays sax, but he also plays a lot of Lyricon, an early wind synthesizer. Sometimes, it's hard to tell which synth lines were played by Lumley or Lancaster, although others have a definite "reedy" quality to their sound (i.e., you can tell by the phrasing that the notes came out of a wind instrument and not a keyboard). Other guest appearances include Penguin Cafe Orchestra mainstay Simon Jeffes on koto, while vocalist Bernie Frost graces some songs with his eerie falsetto, though none of the songs has any lyrics. The songs fall into two distinct categories: 1) Soft and atmospheric with gentle melodies expressed on sax/Lyricon/flute backed by Lumley's keyboards (usually piano) and 2) Jazz-fusion somewhat in the Mahavishnu mold with prominent sax and energetic rock backing. The latter passages are those which will be of greatest interest to Brand X fans, Percy Jones' distinctive bass playing being most prominent. Originally issued in 1971, Relics culls from the band's first five singles (two A-sides and three B-sides, including the non-album pop classics "See Emily Play" and "Arnold Layne") and picks album material that capitalizes on the band's versatility while making it a thoroughly palatable listen. From Piper, you get the goofy childishness of "Bike" and the mesmerizing "Interstellar Overdrive," one of the band's trademark instrumental freak-outs; "The Nile Song," taken from the More soundtrack, is one of the heaviest songs the band recorded. A little bit of everything that made early Pink Floyd can be found here. Roger Waters wrote a series of songs about mundane, everyday details which aren't that impressive by themselves, but when given the sonic backdrop of Floyd's slow, atmospheric soundscapes and carefully placed sound effects, they achieve an emotional resonance. But what gives the album true power is the subtly textured music, which evolves from ponderous, neo-psychedelic art rock to jazz fusion and blues-rock before turning back to psychedelia. It's dense with detail, but leisurely paced, creating its own dark, haunting world. En 1977, Waters - chanteur, bassiste, parolier, compositeur et arrangeur de Pink Floyd -, esquisse sur une feuille de papier le croquis d'un mur separant public et musiciens. Partant de cette projection, il fait appel a Bob Ezrin (producteur de Lou Reed, Alice Cooper, Kiss, etc) pour l'aider a concretiser son projet. C'est un double album au concept fort qui verra le jour et qui connaitra un succes massif - plus de trente millions de copies vendues. Reelle introspection de la vie de Waters, l'album mele fiction et realite a travers l'histoire de Pink, jeune rock star (qui symbolise en fait Waters lui-meme) en proie a ses demons et qui, petit a petit, construit un mur chimerique autour de lui pour se couper du monde. Cet opera-rock particulierement ambitieux porte essentiellement la marque emotionnelle de Roger Waters (evocation de son pere absent, de sa mere abusive et de la rigidite d'un systeme scolaire qui l'a traumatise a vie). The Wall a d'abord ete remasterise en 1994 au Royaume Uni par EMI. Puis en 1997 la firme Columbia remasterise a son tour l'album, avec une qualite de son superieure a celui d'EMI, pour le publier aux Etats-Unis, au Canada, en Australie, en Amerique du Sud et au Japon. Un peu apres le vingtieme anniversaire de l'album, Capitol relance en 2000 aux Etats-Unis l'edition de 1997 en reprenant le remastering europeen, et EMI en fait de meme au Canada, en Australie, en Amerique du Sud et au Japon. Descrizione Borderlands 2 è il seguito di uno dei giochi più premiati del 2009. Realizzato da Gearbox Software, il gioco si è affermato grazie al suo stile unico e al gameplay innovativo.
