A causa del pentimento di quest'ultimo, Cagharin è costretto a dargli la caccia, per paura che possa diffondere informazioni compromettenti sul suo conto che ostacolino la sua candidatura al Dipartimento della difesa russo. Nel frattempo Jack e il padre riescono a trovare un riparo apparentemente sicuro. Nonostante gli iniziali dissapori, John invita il figlio ferito a non mollare, anche se il piano per ottenere le informazioni da Komarov è saltato. Ripartono insieme alla volta di Chernobyl, dove si trova una cassetta di sicurezza contenente dei file su Cagharin, dove però troveranno dei criminali ad attenderli... The Clash Hits Back slightly tweaks the running order of the original set -- "Bankrobber" arrived five songs into the concert but appears eighth here -- but that doesn't matter much, as this swap doesn't alter the impact of the original set. The Clash were plugging Combat Rock so songs from that LP -- the singles "Rock the Casbah," "Should I Stay or Should I Go?" and "Straight to Hell," plus "Ghetto Defendant" and "Know Your Rights," adding up to just under half the album -- sit alongside a heavy chunk of London Calling and early hits, plus a few stabs at Sandinista!. On Daumen im Wind, Lindenberg proved otherwise. Although he hadn't found his unique style yet, some tracks on this album, most notably "Hoch im Norden," "Alkoholmädchen," and the title track, gave a glimpse of what was to come starting with his next release. In terms of style, Lindenberg ventured into many waters apart from rock: jazzy sounds are to be found on "Meer der Träume," "Biochemon" is very experimental with Orwellian lyrics, and there is even a spiritual dimension with the song "In den Tiefen Gängen der Vergangenheit," which deals with reincarnation -- and all in all, the album sounds more thrown together than presenting a unified approach. With Daumen im Wind, Udo Lindenberg started to redefine his role as a rock musician, so it has to be regarded as a transitional album on the way to his later groundbreaking work.
