Descrizione Un mix unico fra sparatutto verticale e tower defense strategico. Sei un X-Morph, una specie aliena che sta invadendo la Terra per depredarne le risorse. Usa la strategia scegliendo con attenzione fra vari tipi di torri o buttati a capofitto in battaglia. Crea labirinti per i nemici in arrivo grazie a un ambiente che permette un'eccezionale libertà di progettazione. Abbatti edifici e fai crollare ponti per migliorare la difesa o solo per gustarti uno spettacolo di distruzione mai visto prima. Padroneggia armi aliene e usa la strategia per pianificare la difesa in una modalità mai vista prima in giochi di questo genere. Il tuo obiettivo è quello di difendere gli estrattori X-Morph dall'arrivo delle unità militari umane. Ogni ondata nemica è preceduta da una fase di preparazione durante la quale il giocatore più controllare quali nemici si stanno preparando ad attaccarlo e osservare i loro percorsi. Questa fase non ha limiti di tempo, e ogni giocatore potrà pianificare con attenzione la difesa o iniziare subito il combattimento posizionando le torri in base alla necessità durante la battaglia. Una delle caratteristiche principali del gioco è la possibilità di posizionare torri in qualsiasi posizione della mappa e creare dei percorsi obbligati per i nemici connettendo le torri con sbarramenti laser. Ogni giocatore può decidere se creare labirinti con le torri di base oppure utilizzare le torri avanzate, più efficaci contro precisi tipi di nemici in arrivo. Le torri avanzate sono efficaci contro particolari tipi di nemici; i lanciafiamme, ad esempio, sono ottimi per distruggere le unità di terra rapide, le torri di artiglieria sono le migliori per contrastare grandi gruppi di nemici più lenti, i laser contraerei sono l'ideale per abbattere i bombardieri più pesanti. Giocando con il caccia X-Morph potrai affrontare direttamente i nemici con un arsenale di armi diverse. Potrai trasformarti in quattro forme distinte, ognuna adatta ad affrontare un diverso tipo di minaccia. Ognuna delle forme ha un attacco di base e un attacco speciale. Il Caccia al plasma è la forma standard, adatto a distruggere le unità di terra e d'aria. Il Bombardiere a materia oscura è ottimo per decimare i gruppi di unità di terra. Può anche rallentare il tempo e usare una bomba a materia oscura in grado di abbattere gli edifici. Il Caccia distruttore è perfetto per annientare grandi gruppi di unità aeree umane e sgomberare il cielo. Per finire, il Distruttore laser è la scelta migliore per sciogliere le unità singole più grandi. Ha anche l'abilità di creare un'anomalia gravitazionale in grado di risucchiare al suo interno le unità più piccole. La grande varietà di armi e nemici, unita a un ambiente dinamico e completamente distruttibile, permette di vivere un'intensa esperienza di gioco che ricorda gli sparatutto arcade. Gli ambienti del gioco sono creati con una grande attenzione ai dettagli e sono quasi completamente distruttibili. Partendo dai piccoli steccati fino ad arrivare agli enormi grattacieli. Qualsiasi ponte o edificio presente nel gioco può essere distrutto, e il crollo è gestito dinamicamente e segue le leggi della fisica. La distruzione non è solo un effetto visivo, visto che può influenzare significativamente la morfologia del campo di battaglia. La combinazione di ambienti dinamici, sbarramenti laser e percorsi dei nemici calcolati in tempo reale creano scenari di gioco unici. Gli umani difendono disperati il loro mondo. Hanno creato macchine da guerra enormi, delle dimensioni di un edificio, per farle combattere le une contro le altre, ma adesso le devono utilizzare per distruggere gli X-Morph.
