The content of The King Of Limbs is difficult to access, syncopated, and sometimes a little heavy on the digestion. Often epileptic, the songs on this opus are rendered distinct by a strong rhythmic thread, woven into every song. Unlike the free-flying, and often warm, melodies on In Rainbows, The King Of Limbs prefers the coldness of the electric beat. But in the same vein as Amnesiac or Kid A, there's still a coherent whole to be deciphered through the confusing sounds. Once you listen to the record a couple of times the whole way through, it's impossible not to be impressed by at least the vision of the group, and their fearlessness in attempting to go beyond their almost sacred borders. Standout songs include but are not exlusively: Lotus Flower, Feral, Give Up The Ghost. As per usual with Radiohead, the record screams of classy production and abounding talent, filled with extra details that diehard fans and newcomers alike will lap up. In practice, they segue into each other, however, making for a single lengthy suite. As the overall disc title and the individual song titles -- "Goodbye Sweet Innocence," "Living in the Past," and "Forgotten Land" -- suggest, the theme has to do with recollections and regrets about a time period that has disappeared. "What happened to our days," wonders singer Mariusz Duda in "Living in the Past," "They used to be so full of life." The stretched-out tracks contain simple, repetitive patterns, inclining toward a reflective tone. This is a band that easily could have been a Pink Floyd tribute group, and there are frequent specific references to albums like The Dark Side of the Moon and Wish You Were Here. Like David Gilmour, Duda sings in a calm, quiet tone, again befitting the wistfulness of the message. Una nuova acuta mente criminale, il Professor Moriarty (Jared Harris), con una intelligenza pari a quella di Holmes e con una predisposizione al male ed una totale assenza di coscienza , potrebbe mettere in grande difficoltà il rinomato detective. Quando il Principe d'Austria viene trovato morto, tutte le prove raccolte dall'Ispettore Lestrade (Eddie Marsan), indicano come causa della morte il suicidio. Eppure Sherlock Holmes deduce che il Principe è stato vittima di un omicidio - omicidio che è soltanto il primo pezzo di un puzzle ben più grande e sinistro messo a punto dal Professor Moriarty. Unendo gli affari al piacere, Holmes continua nella sua indagine fino ad arrivare ad un club per gentiluomini, dove, insieme al fratello Mycroft Holmes (Stephen Fry), festeggia l'addio al celibato di Watson, e dove incontra al Sim (Noomi Rapace), una zingara cartomante, che vede più di quanto svela e il cui coinvolgimento involontario nell'omicidio del Principe la rende un ottimo futuro bersaglio. Holmes riesce a salvarle la vita con un colpo di fortuna, e in cambio, sebbene con riluttanza, la donna accetta di aiutarlo. Le indagini prendono una piega ancor più pericolosa mentre Holmes, Watson e Sim attraversano l'Europa - dall'Inghilterra alla Francia, alla Germania e infine in Svizzera. L'astuto Moriarty è sempre un passo avanti a loro e sta mettendo a punto una trama di morte e distruzione quale parte di un piano ancor più grande che, se dovesse realizzarsi, cambierebbe per sempre il corso della storia.
