'Asia In Asia - Live at The Budokan, 1983' has now been skillfully remastered and is available as a boxset featuring a 2LP of the live performance, 2CD of both the Japanese & U.S versions and a Blu-ray featuring restored original MTV concert video, with remixed audio, and original laserdisc MTV concert video. As well as nine recreated pieces of memorabilia from the tour. This newly packaged release includes originally designed artwork from the fantastic painter and artist Roger Dean. Like a miracle Michael Schenker returns to Japan with his past original singers from the '80's to celebrate the Michael Schenker Fest with Barden, Bonnet and McAuley at the amazing Tokyo International Forum. 5000 fans witnessed an anthology moment of quintessential hard rock music of the highest calibre. It's a miracle that after all these years, something like this took place with the original band members of MSG. Being able to go back to those days and celebrate the music is an exciting experience for the band, as well as for old and new fans. To being able to re-experience, and for the new audience to get a feel of what it was like, is incredibly enjoyable. For Michael Schenker it was an amazing feeling to have all of his MSG Family from the '80's performing together and especially with Graham Bonnet, who he never got to play any concerts after their Assault Attack album that was originally released in 1982. For the special occasion, the band wasrounded out by Mark Benquechea (drums) and Conrado Pesinato (guitars), both from the Graham Bonnet Band.In addition to this unique farewell performance caputred on audio and video, Alcatrazz raided the archives and added some unreleased bonus tracks taken from the original sessions recorded in 1985, including one song, "Emotion" with a young Steve Vai on guitar.Alcatrazz was formed in 1983 by former Rainbow and Michael Schenker Group vocalist Graham Bonnet along with Jimmy Waldo and Gary Shea and made three studio albums in the 1980's. The band's debut album included a young Swedish guitarist, Yngwie Malmsteen and their second album, guitar virtuoso Steve Vai.
