Movement (1981)

Movement is the first hesitant step in the transition from Joy Division to New Order. Despite a relatively assured debut single ("Ceremony," which didn't even appear on the album), the first New Order album revealed a band apparently caught up in mourning for its former lead singer. (But of course, themes of loss and isolation were hardly novel for them.) Movement encompassed songs written just after the suicide of Ian Curtis, and it was recorded with alternating vocal spots to see whose would fit best -- although neither Peter Hook nor Bernard Sumner sounded worthy of the mantle

Power, Corruption & Lies (1983)

A great leap forward from their funereal debut album, Power, Corruption & Lies cemented New Order's place as the most exciting dance-rock hybrid in music (and it didn't even include the massive "Blue Monday" single, released earlier that year). Confident and invigorating where Movement had sounded disconsolate and lost, the record simply pops with energy from the beginning "Age of Consent," an alternative pop song with only a smattering of synthesizers overlaying an assured Bernard Sumner, who took his best vocal turn yet.

Low-Life (1985)

New Order's third LP, Low-life, was, in every way, the artistic equal of their breakout, 1983's Power, Corruption & Lies. The point where the band's fusion of rock and electronics became seamless, it showed the bandmembers having it every way they wanted: heavily sequenced and synthesized, but with bravura work from Bernard Sumner's guitar and Peter Hook's plaintive, melodic bass; filled with hummable pop songs, but still experimental as far as how the productions were achieved.

Republic (1993)

Republic is the sixth studio album by the English rock band New Order. Released in 1993 by London Records, it is their first album released after the demise of Factory Records, and their last for eight years. The album reached number one in the UK, their last album to do so. It also received a Mercury Music Prize nomination. The album's lead single, "Regret", is also New Order's last top-five hit in their home country. It was produced and co-written by Stephen Hague, who had produced several non-album singles with them already. The band went on hiatus following a gig at the Reading Festival promoting the album in August 1993. Lead vocalist Bernard Sumner is known to not like travelling to North America, and media reports suggest that the pressure of the long leg there contributed to the band's temporary demise. The band reunited in 1998.

To celebrate the 30th anniversary of Roy Orbison's renowned 1987 televised comeback concert at the Cocoanut Grove night club in Los Angeles, Sony Music's Legacy Recordings has teamed up with Roy's Boys LLC, the Nashville-based company founded by the late icon's sons to administer their father's catalog and safeguard his legacy. Together, they are releasing Black & White Night 30, a re-imagined, re-edited, remastered and expanded version of the original television special.
Re-edited by Roy's youngest son Alex Orbison, the program has been restored to reflect the correct set order as the audience who attended the show saw it. Liner notes written by son Roy Orbison Jr. are included in the packaging as well as a treasure trove of bonus content.
Black & White Night 30 includes a previously unseen alternate version of "Oh, Pretty Woman", a previously unseen performance "Blue Angel." a 'secret concert performed by the band after the audience had left of five songs featuring alternate takes of Dream You, "Comedians," "Candyman," "Claudette," and "Uptown"
Additionally included is a brand new 33-minute mini-documentary consisting of rehearsal footage and pre and post show interviews with Bruce Springsteen, Elvis Costello and more PLUS a photo montage consisting of 20 still photos from the show and new photos of show memorabilia, mostly unused and unseen in any context.

Co-founding original member Mick Ralphs, regular band sideman Howard Leese and touring guest Rich Robinson are all credited on guitar, though Ralphs withdrew prior to the tour and later suffered a stroke from which he's still recovering.

HOLY TERROR formed back in 1985, in the middle of a Metal scene that was boiling with new names. They had a resemblance with acts like FLOTSAM & JETSAM, DARK ANGEL (from where their first drummer, Jack Schwartz, came), ABBATOIR, AGENT STEEL and some others that were playing a melodic and furious mix between Speed Metal and earlier Thrash Metal. But their biggest difference between some of their comrades back them was the ability to use very good melodies in the middle of an attack of excellent guitars, thundering bass guitar and drums, and very good screamed vocals.
DVD that has three shows of the band, all of them on 1988, recorded on Milwaukee, Chicago and Anaheim 1988, and a session of extras, with slide show, extra pic from The Reign of Terror, and the official video for "Judas Reward". A great homage to HOLY TERROR, to their fans and it will show that, if thing on this life were fairer, they could be the fifth band on the North American Big Four of Thrash Metal.

Since formation in 1994, the quintet in question have 9 studio albums behind them, their debut live album "Warpath (Live And Life On The Road)". 11 thrashing tracks; ranging at around 44:06, the quartet delivers a solid slab of intricately designed manifestations of hard-hitting Metal delicacies. Zoltan Farkas on guitar/vocals showcases complex dexterity as the vocalist provides raspy vocalization, with crunchy punch lines in the riffs, which explode with savagely primitive results. "Move On" made want to JUMP THE FUCK UP in a stimulating bounce that pounds the soul with power, powerhouse drummer Robert Jaksa pummels his pedals and steel with sinister results.

12 years after their last album "Adios", the Böhse Onkelz fulminated back in October 2016 with their now 18th studio album "Memento". The record went straight to # 1 in the German album charts and was able to hold in the top 100 for a total of 22 weeks. The eponymous tour in winter 2016 was sold out in no time.
The concert documentary "Böhse Onkelz - Memento Against Time + Live in Berlin" provides interesting background insights to the last tour. On two discs in addition to the concert film "Live in Berlin - Live Concert" you will see two more documentaries. "Against Time", the four protagonists illuminate as private as ever and take you on a 70-minute journey from Frankfurt to Nashville, via Ibiza and once across the largest halls of Germany, Austria and Switzerland. "Memento - Against Time + Live in Berlin" shows the four Frankfurt in top form and illuminates every character in an unprecedented way.

Colorful Radiation is Christopher Sluka's newest release and it lives up to the Vancouver Weekly's reference to him being a "Modern day renaissance man." His music is creative, interestingly recorded, confusing and beautiful.The first track, "Number One" - the music video for this song is a little bit fun and crazy. Sluka's music can be compared to the sounds of Bowie, as well as Imagine Dragons, Radiohead, and Coldplay."Number One" really stands out, but the entire album is a great soundtrack for the day. Listen to it when you have time to actually listen, whether it's during some yoga or while you're stuck in a rush hour commute.The music accompanying his vocals adds to the mystique of it and makes this album a relaxing treat to listen to
