Bryan Ferry's concerts at the Royal Albert Hall, London in March 2020 were the triumphant culmination of the UK leg of a scheduled world tour that would be suddenly curtailed by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Preceded by concerts in Glasgow, Newcastle, Manchester and Leicester, Ferry and his band showcased a new set of songs drawn from his solo career and the iconic Roxy Music catalogue, some recorded live for the first time.

Earlier in the year Ferry had released 'Live at the Royal Albert Hall 1974', an historic album capturing the intense energy of his debut solo tour. Thirty six years later, 'Live at the Royal Albert Hall 2020' celebrates Ferry's twin careers as a classic songwriter and unique musical stylist.

JMJ created the music to the vision of Sebastiao Salgado

Jean-Michel Jarre has composed and recorded a 52 minute musical score for "Amazônia", a new project by award winning photographer and filmmaker Sebastião Salgado, for the Philharmonic Paris. The exhibition launches on April 7th and will later travel to South America, Roma and London.

"Amazônia" is an immersive exhibition focussing on the Brazilian Amazon, featuring more than 200 photographs and other media by Salgado. He travelled the region for six years, capturing the forest, the rivers, the mountains and the people who live there, and most of the work will be seen publicly for the first time. At the heart of the exhibit is an invitation to see, hear and think about the future of biodiversity and the place of humans in the living world.

JMJs accompanying sound-creation is a symphonic world which will engulf visitors to the exhibit in the sounds of the forest. Using a blend of electronic and orchestral instruments with other real-life natural sounds, the score has also been recorded in binaural audio, for a truly immersive experience.

"I wanted to avoid the ethnomusicological approach, or creating background music. So I conceived a sort of toolbox containing musical elements - orchestral and electronic - intended to recreate or evoke the timbre of natural sounds, to which I added sounds from the environment, and finally ethnic sources (voices, songs, and instruments) from the sound archives of the Ethnography Museum of Geneva (MEG). I approached the Amazon with respect, in a poetic and impressionistic way. I chose the vocal and sound elements in their evocative dimension, rather than trying to be faithful to a particular ethnic group. It seemed interesting to me to fantasise the forest. It carries with it a powerful imagination; for both Westerners and Amerindians. This music also evokes a form of nomadism, as if sounds appear and disappear during a migration. It was necessary to go back to the principles of orchestration of the sounds of nature, to work from sounds which follow one another randomly, but which can compose a harmony or a dissonance. And as in any symphony, the work has moments of clarity or tension." (Jean-Michel Jarre)

When Fleetwood Mac released its first live album in December 1980, it captured the legendary band's most iconic lineup on stage demonstrating the full scope of their collective, creative powers. Recorded mostly during the world tour for TUSK, FLEETWOOD MAC LIVE delivered a double-album's worth of exhilarating performances that included massive hits like "Dreams" and "Go Your Own Way," "Rhiannon," and "Don't Stop."

The original album, produced by the band with Ken Caillat and Richard Dashut, was culled primarily from the 1979-1980 Tusk tour but with a few additions from the 1977 tour supporting Rumours. It was a truly international affair, with songs recorded in cities including Tokyo, Paris, London, Nashville, Kansas City, Tucson, Cleveland, Santa Monica, St. Louis, and Oklahoma City. The band dug back to the Peter Green days for "Oh Well" but mostly celebrated their recent triumphs such as "Say You Love Me," "Dreams," "Monday Morning," "Sara," "Landslide," "Over My Head," "Rhiannon," and "Don't Stop." One rarity was "Don't Let Me Down Again" from Buckingham Nicks, as captured in Passaic, New Jersey in 1975. Three new songs premiered on Live, too: Christine McVie's "One More Night," Stevie Nicks' "Fireflies," and a "backstage" rendition of Brian Wilson and Mike Love's Beach Boys oldie "Farmer's Daughter" with rich Mac harmonies. Both "Fireflies" and "Farmer's Daughter" were issued as singles, with the former peaking at No. 60 on the Hot 100. The album itself reached No. 14 on the Billboard 200 and No. 31 on the U.K. Albums Chart.

When Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash passed, they left behind what John Carter Cash, their son and Johnny Cash: Forever Words co-producer, describes as a "monstrous amassment" of things, including a treasure trove of undiscovered material that includes Johnny Cash's handwritten letters, poems and documents, penned across the entirety of his life.

Over the past two years, album producers John Carter Cash and Steve Berkowitz invited a stellar cast of musicians to create new music to accompany these newly discovered Cash writings.

The album also showcases Rosanne Cash, Johnny Cash's eldest daughter, who interpreted her father's "The Walking Wounded," marking just the second time that she has collaborated on a record with her half-brother John Carter Cash.

"Determining the artist for each song was truly a matter of the heart," said John Carter Cash. "I picked the artists who are most connected with my father, who had a personal story that was connected with Dad. It became an exciting endeavor to go through these works, to put them together and present them to different people who could finish them in a way that I believed that Dad would have wanted."

When making the Johnny Cash: Forever Words album, producers John Carter Cash and Steve Berkowitz tapped into a spirit of musical collaboration between the musicians and the words of Johnny Cash. The goal of Johnny Cash: Forever Words was not to create a "lost" Johnny Cash album, but rather for musicians to connect with these poems and allow them to flourish in a new musical world.
