Yuuhi Amamiya è uno studente piuttosto nichilista e con un triste passato che grava sulle sue spalle. Una mattina si troverà coinvolto in una serie di avvenimenti fuori dal comune, iniziati con la comparsa, nella sua stanza, di una strana lucertola parlante, che si presenta come Noi Crescent, Lizard Knight, Cavaliere (della) Lucertola; l'esserino comunica ad Amamiya che loro compito è quello di riunirsi ad altri Cavalieri e alla Principessa per salvare il mondo dalla minaccia di Animus e del Biscuit Hammer (Martello Biscotto). Dopo aver cercato inutilmente di liberarsi della lucertola, Amamiya si renderà conto suo malgrado di essere ormai coinvolto nella faccenda, anche per via dell'incontro con Samidare, una principessa del tutto sui generis e con intenzioni ben diverse da quelle che lo stesso Lizard Knight immaginava...
