Nashiko Jippensha è una studentessa delle superiori che vive ad Onomichi, nella prefettura di Hiroshima. Un giorno viene cacciata di casa e, mentre cerca un nuovo luogo dove si possa divertire con le sue amiche, scopre che la sala da mahjong gestita in precedenza dal padre è ormai abbandonata. Nashiko decide di ripararla e la trasforma in un luogo dove lei assieme alle amiche possono divertirsi, cucinare, prendere il tè e talvolta giocare a mahjong.

La serie è ambientata in un prossimo futuro, dove è possibile istantaneamente misurare con precisione lo stato mentale, la personalità e la probabilità che le persone commettano dei crimini attraverso un sistema di scansione chiamato Psycho-Pass. Quando il coefficiente di criminalità supera una certa soglia, l’individuo viene arrestato. Il compito di cattura viene effettuato da un team speciale di agenti e ispettori che ricorrono a speciali armi chiamate “Dominator” in grado - queste ultime - di sparare solo ad individui con un coefficiente di criminalità superiore alla soglia. La storia ruota attorno alla prima unità del dipartimento di pubblica sicurezza.

Episodio 1: Durante il loro esame di qualificazione sul pianeta Naberio, il giocatore e il compagno tirocinante sono attaccati da vili organismi noti come Darkers. Trama: L'opera si compone di tre film: 1: Anno 2117; un veicolo in fuga si schianta contro il Public Safety Bureau Building.
