50 Jahre nach Strawinskys Tod präsentiert Deutsche Grammophon Strawinskys "La Sacre du Printemps" in einer besonderen Live-Aufnahme aus der Walt Disney-Concert Hall. Esa-Pekka Salonen ist in seiner ersten Aufnahme als Chefdirigent des Los Angeles Philharmonic zu hören. Der Mitschnitt von 2003 wird durch eine besondere Konstellation geprägt: durch die hervorragende Akustik der Walt Disney Hall wurde nicht nur Stravinskys "Sacre" zu einem außergewöhnlichen Klangwunder, sondern auch Mussorgskys "Nacht auf dem kahlen Berge" und Bartóks Suite "Der wunderbare Mandarin". Die energische, durch musikalische Kraft geprägte Live-Produktion wird auf CD und in einem neuen 24-Bit-Remastering auf Blu-ray Audio Disc veröffentlicht.
