Descrizione 9 Years of Shadows è un Metroidvania a scorrimento laterale di Halberd Studios. Viaggia al fianco di Europa, un coraggioso guerriero determinato a entrare nel gigante meccanico Talos e fermare la corruzione all'interno prima che inghiottisca il mondo nell'oscurità. Affronta creature contaminate, incontra musicisti carismatici e scopri la verità dietro la maledizione che ha derubato la terra di ogni colore. Molti hanno provato ad avventurarsi nelle contorte profondità di Talos, una fortezza dormiente dove diverse civiltà si sono insediate nel corso dei secoli. E, dopo aver perso tutto ciò che le era caro, Europa non ha nulla che la trattenga dal tentare ciò che gli altri non potrebbero ottenere. Come nobile combattente che rifiuta di essere vincolata dalla maledizione, deve entrare nel castello, trovare la fonte della corruzione e restituire il colore una volta per tutte. Un compagno spettrale. Questa avventura non è per Europa da affrontare da sola. All'interno del gigante, fa amicizia con Apino, un simpatico orso galleggiante che sembra possedere abilità magiche in grado di ripristinare il colore e ricostituire la salute dei suoi alleati. Nevertheless, the records rounded up here -- which include the eight albums Lowell George recorded with the band (the seminal 1978 live album Waiting for Columbus is present in its 2002 expansion), plus the 1981 compilation Hoy Hoy! and the two comeback albums, 1988's Let It Roll and Representing the Mambo; an edited version of the rarities disc from 2000's Hotcakes & Outtakes box is nicely included (the earliest songs have been excised) -- represent the group's core catalog. They'd continue to record into the new millennium -- 2012's Rooster Rag is quite good -- but these albums have the songs and sensibility that built their legacy, which does include their remarkably successful return in 1988.
