Discendente da una stirpe di streghe, dopo la morte in circostanze misteriose di entrambi i genitori Diana aveva scelto di bandire la magia dalla propria esistenza. Ma la sua vera natura non è facile da relegare nell'ombra. Ora il potere del manoscritto è più forte di ogni sua decisione e, nonostante tutti i suoi tentativi, non riesce a metterlo da parte. Ma non è la sola a sentire con prepotenza l'attrazione per quell'antico testo, che nasconde oscure verità, incantesimi e sortilegi. Perché le streghe non sono le uniche creature ultraterrene che vivono a fianco degli umani, ci sono anche demoni, fantasiosi e distruttivi, e vampiri, eternamente giovani, e tutti sono interessati alla scoperta di Diana. Tra essi c'è Matthew Clairmont, un vampiro, professore di genetica appassionato di Darwin, il cui interesse per il manoscritto viene presto superato da quello per la giovane strega. Insieme intraprenderanno il viaggio per sviscerare i segreti celati nell'antico libro. Ma l'amore che nasce tra loro, un amore proibito da leggi radicate nel tempo, minaccia di alterare il fragile equilibrio esistente tra le creature e gli umani e di scatenare un conflitto che può avere conseguenze fatali. Following 2020's "Dance Of The Devil", which charted at #22 in Germany, and the "Circle Of Five" EP, vocalist Laura Guldemond, guitarists Romana Kalkuhl and Larissa Ernst, bassist Jeanine Grob and drummer Lala Frischknecht notably upped the ante on "The Witch Of The North", delivering their most dynamic, intricate and powerful album thus far. Perfectly mixed and mastered by V.O. Pulver and produced by German thrash titan Schmier (DESTRUCTION), the LP sees BURNING WITCHES stick to their irrefutable 1980s influences (JUDAS PRIEST, IRON MAIDEN, DIO, ACCEPT, WARLOCK, W.A.S.P., etc.) and inject irresistible energy and a refreshing vibe, topping it off with classic art by Claudio Bergamín (who illustrated JUDAS PRIEST's triumphant "Firepower").
