Just in time for the band's 50th birthday, Aerosmith have a special treasure in store for their fans. The seven songs featured on the record were written just a year after Aerosmith formed and two years before the release of their 1973 self-titled debut album. "The groundbreaking early recording was recorded in 1971 by Mark Lehman on Joe Perry's Wollensak tape machine, (...) either in the band's Boston rehearsal room in front of a select few friends, or at a rehearsal the band was holding during a sound check for an early show" , according to a press release.
