King Crimson - Larks' Tongues In Aspic (The Complete Recording Sessions) (Remastered) (2023) [2xBlu-ray Audio] Label: Panegyric [KCXP5015] Country: UK Genre: Prog Rock Quality: Blu-ray Audio Audio: English / Dolby TrueHD/Atmos Audio / 7.1 / 48 kHz / 5074 kbps / 24-bit (AC3 Embedded: 5.1-EX / 48 kHz / 640 kbps / DN -31dB) Audio: English / DTS-HD Master Audio / 5.1 / 96 kHz / 6205 kbps / 24-bit (DTS Core: 6.1 / 48 kHz / 1509 kbps / 24-bit) Audio: English / LPCM Audio / 2.0 / 96 kHz / 4608 kbps / 24-bit Time: 1:44:43 + 10:29:11 Full Size: 54.85 GB King Crimson's 1973 album Larks' Tongues in Aspic is reissued for its 50th anniversary in an all encompassing four-disc set that includes brand new Steven Wilson Dolby Atmos, 5.1 and stereo mixes and "the complete recordings of every session recorded for the album". This set comprises two blu-ray audio discs and two CDs. The first blu-ray contains Steven Wilson's brand new Dolby Atmos Mix which is described as "more expansive than the earlier mixes as released in 2012, while still retaining and enhancing the core power of the original material". Since Wilson's Atmos process involves going back to the multi-track tapes and first building a new stereo mix and then a 5.1 surround mix, we are presented with three brand news mixes for this product. While Steven was working on this aspect of the material Alex R. Mundy and David Singleton were mixing every single take of the original studio sessions. These unreleased early takes are presented not as traditionally blended pieces, but with maximum separation, with the idea being to mimic the experience of sitting in the studio with the individual elements being performed around you. King Crimson - Larks' Tongues in Aspic (2014) [44,1kHz/24 bit] Country: UK Genre: Progressive Rock Format: FLAC (*tracks) Quality: Lossless [44,1kHz/24 bit] Time: 01:07:48 Full Size: 718.99 MB King Crimson reborn yet again -- the then-newly configured band makes its debut with a violin (courtesy of David Cross) sharing center stage with Robert Fripp's guitars and his Mellotron, which is pushed into the background. The music is the most experimental of Fripp's career up to this time -- though some of it actually dated (in embryonic form) back to the tail-end of the Boz Burrell-Ian Wallace-Mel Collins lineup. And John Wetton was the group's strongest singer/bassist since Greg Lake's departure three years earlier. What's more, this lineup quickly established itself as a powerful performing unit, working in a more purely experimental, less jazz-oriented vein than its immediate predecessor. "Outer Limits music" was how one reviewer referred to it, mixing Cross' demonic fiddling with shrieking electronics, Bill Bruford's astounding dexterity at the drum kit, Jamie Muir's melodic and usually understated percussion, Wetton's thundering yet melodic bass, and Fripp's guitar, which generated sounds ranging from traditional classical and soft pop-jazz licks to hair-curling electric flourishes. ~ Bruce Eder https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hn4-ofDHk1k Download from HotLink https://hotlink.cc/6so27i66qcf4/King.Crimson.-.Larks.Tongues.in.Aspic.2014.44-24.rar
