Descrizione Segui la cupa storia della giovane Amicia e del suo fratellino Hugo in un tormentato viaggio nell'epoca più nera di sempre. In fuga dall'Inquisizione, circondati da inarrestabili orde di ratti, Amicia e Hugo impareranno a conoscersi e a fidarsi l'uno dell'altra. Lottando contro ogni probabilità per la propria vita, si batteranno per trovare uno scopo in questo mondo brutale e spietato. Storia: 1349. La peste sta devastando il regno di Francia. L'Inquisizione insegue due fratelli attraverso i villaggi infestati dal morbo letale. Amicia e il piccolo Hugo, durante il loro viaggio, dovranno unire le proprie forze a quelle di altri ragazzi per sfuggire alle ondate di ratti, servendosi solo di fuoco e luce come unici strumenti di protezione. Uniti da un fato terribile, dovranno affrontare orrori indescrivibili e sopravvivere ad ogni costo. Dove inizia la loro avventura... finisce l'età dell'innocenza. Personaggi: - AMICIA DE RUNE: Amicia ha soli 15 anni, ma è già una giovane donna, forte, indipendente e abile, addestrata dal padre nell'arte della caccia. Negli anni non ha avuto la possibilità di trascorrere del tempo col fratellino, ma hanno un legame che li unisce e sarà proprio quello che li aiuterà a rimanere in vita. - HUGO DE RUNE: il piccolo Hugo è un bambino fragile, di appena cinque anni e afflitto da una rara malattia che lo costringe a rimanere segregato nella propria stanza per gran parte della sua infanzia. Conosce molto poco del mondo esterno, ma piuttosto che rimanere confinato, preferisce avventurarsi tra i pericoli che vi si celano. - L'INQUISIZIONE: la guerra e il morbo attanagliano la Francia del XIV secolo. L'inquisizione dà la caccia ai due bambini De Rune , apparentemente senza motivo, ma farà di tutto pur di catturarli. Amicia e Hugo non sono abbastanza forti per sconfiggere i grandi e grossi cavalieri, dovranno perciò essere scaltri e e muoversi furtivi se vogliono sfuggirgli. - I RATTI: i ratti si riversano come onde indomabili su tutta la Francia. Non risparmiano nulla al proprio passaggio e avanzano inarrestabili divorando tutto ciò che incontrano nei villaggi, nelle campagne e nei campi di battaglia ormai oppressi dalla peste. I With NMB's previous two releases being concept albums, it's perhaps remarkable that Innocence & Danger is a series of unrelated songs, but drummer Mike Portnoy says, "After two sprawling back to back double concept albums in a row, it was refreshing to get back to writing a collection of unrelated individual songs in the vein of our first album." There is also plenty in Innocence & Danger to excite those prog fans who have a thirst for epics, as Neal Morse explains: "There's one half hour epic and another that's about 20 minutes long. I really didn't realise that they were that long when we were recording them, which I guess is great because if a movie is really good, you don't realise that it's three hours long! But there are also some shorter songs: some have poppier elements, some are heavier and some have three part acoustic sections. I'm excited about all of it, really."
