Ender Wiggins è un promettente dodicenne, selezionato per essere addestrato alla Battle School, l'accademia situata in una stazione orbitante attorno alla Terra dove i ragazzini si sfidano in sofisticati giochi di simulazione per prepararsi alla guerra vera, che potrebbe avere inizio da un momento all'altro.
