Durante le indagini, Kei e Yuri si ritrovano fra i piedi Carson D. Carson, un ladro arrivato su Agerna per recuperare un oggetto che gli è stato sottratto. Questo strano terzetto dovrà vedersela con il Dr. Wattsman, uno scienziato pazzo, ed il suo folle esperimento volto a creare una razza superiore sfruttando i geni di una misteriosa specie aliena: il cosiddetto Progetto EDEN.
