Gnome Partition Editor (GPartEd) Live 1.0.0-3 - MULTI ITA Gparted è un potente software per gestire le partizioni del PC. Nato su Linux e diffuso successivamente agli altri sistemi operativi, è in grado da BIOS di formattare partizioni, ridimensionarle senza modificarle, crearne di nuove o cancellare quelle esistenti. GParted sta per "Gnome Partition Editor application". Il software consente di modificare le partizioni presenti su un Hard Disk, preservando i dati presenti nelle partizioni stesse. GParted è in grado di creare, distruggere, ridimensionare, spostare, verificare e copiare le partizioni ed i file system presenti su di esse. Può dunque essere utilizzato per creare spazio per nuovi sistemi operativi, per riorganizzare lo spazio sul disco, per copiare i dati presenti sugli Hard Disk e per realizzare mirror di una partizione. E' in grado di operare sui seguenti filesystem: btrfs, ext2 / ext3 / ext4, fat16 / fat32, hfs / hfs+, linux-swap, lvm2 pv, nilfs2, ntfs, reiserfs / reiser4, ufs, xfs. GParted è scritto in C++ ed utilizza gtkmm per la sua GUI (interfaccia grafica). L'approccio generale è di tenere l'interfaccia grafica quanto più semplice possibile. GParted è una delle migliori utilità in campo di partizionatori, sia con riferimenti ai soli software free sia includendo i software proprietari. Da segnalare che è possibile utilizzare GParted nella sua versione LiveCD: il software viene masterizzato su un CD auto-avviante che può dunque essere utilizzato su qualsiasi PC x86 con almeno un PII. Il software viene distribuito secondo i termini della General Public License (GPL). Vantaggi: - non va installato sul computer - può essere utilizzato da CD auto-avviante per modificare partizioni che contengono un qualsiasi sistema operativo - Ridimensionare le partizioni del PC - Eliminare partizioni già esistenti - Formattare i dischi rigidi del PC - Creare nuove partizioni a partire dallo spazio non allocato disponibile. La sezione Update di Weather Watcher Live, poi, è molto interessante e ti consentirà di eseguire gli aggiornamenti delle condizioni meteo automaticamente e a ogni intervallo di tempo da te stabilito. Nato su Linux e diffuso successivamente agli altri sistemi operativi, è in grado da BIOS di formattare partizioni, ridimensionarle senza modificarle, crearne di nuove o cancellare quelle esistenti. GParted sta per "Gnome Partition Editor application". Il software consente di modificare le partizioni presenti su un Hard Disk, preservando i dati presenti nelle partizioni stesse. GParted è in grado di creare, distruggere, ridimensionare, spostare, verificare e copiare le partizioni ed i file system presenti su di esse. Può dunque essere utilizzato per creare spazio per nuovi sistemi operativi, per riorganizzare lo spazio sul disco, per copiare i dati presenti sugli Hard Disk e per realizzare mirror di una partizione. E' in grado di operare sui seguenti filesystem: btrfs, ext2 / ext3 / ext4, fat16 / fat32, hfs / hfs+, linux-swap, lvm2 pv, nilfs2, ntfs, reiserfs / reiser4, ufs, xfs.
