La serie Supernatural, girata a Vancouver, è stata creata da Eric Kripke nel 2005 e ruota attorno alle vicende dei fratelli Dean, interpretato da Jensen Ackles, e Sam Winchester, interpretato da Jared Padalecki, e alla loro lotta contro demoni e altre entità soprannaturali che li perseguitano fin dalla loro infanzia. Una lotta che non sembra volersi concludere mai iniziata con la morte della loro madre, uccisa dai demoni, la fuga da casa, salvati a stento da loro padre, un ex marine. I due fratelli, usando la celebre Route 666, su cui corrono con una Chevrolet Impala del 1967, uno dei simboli del serial, attraversano l’America affrontando e combattendo avversari mostruosi impegnati in complotti terribili che, attraverso decine di atti di violenza e omicidi, sono tesi a sovvertire l’ordine fra il Cielo e la Terra, liberando le Forze del Male dai pozzi di oscurità in cui sono prigionieri.
