Kaito Takagi è un esploratore che caccia slime in un dungeon apparso improvvisamente in Giappone, per guadagnare un po' di soldi. Un giorno appare davanti a lui uno slime dorato, mai visto prima, e dopo averlo sconfitto guadagna un item raro chiamato “servant card”. Così ha inizio la storia di un ragazzo che da semplice esploratore si trasformerà in eroe.
