I tre decidono di stabilirsi nella metropoli per difendere gli umani dagli attacchi dei mostri e degli yōkai; ciò nonostante vengano discriminati ed emarginati da essi per via del loro aspetto mostruoso. Si impegnano a fondo nella speranza che le loro buone azioni un giorno siano ripagate con una trasformazione in esseri umani.
