Descrizione Il titolo si presenta come uno strategico a turni dove due squadre di eroi si combattono fino a che una delle due si ritrova senza personaggi. Il terreno di gioco si divide in due sezioni, una per squadra, da dodici posti ciascuna dove è possibile posizionare i propri personaggi. I combattimenti si dividono in due turni, uno di attacco e uno di difesa per ogni eroe, in alto nell’interfaccia c’è una ruota dell’iniziativa che indica quale dei personaggi giocherà in questo turno e in quale posizione. Le possibilità sia di attacco che di difesa per i nostri personaggi sono sempre due, definite nel gioco Armonia (harmony) e Dissonanza (dissonance). In difesa utilizzando l’armonia il personaggio si metterà in posizione per limitare i danni subiti, utilizzando la dissonanza invece sarà possibile procedere ad un contrattacco nel caso si venga colpiti. In attacco la dissonance potenzierà tutte le nostre azioni. Come già accennato però il posizionamento e il movimento all’interno del terreno di gioco è fondamentale: innanzitutto stare più avanti o più indietro nella mappa influenza i danni subiti e i danni inferti, più si è in posizione avanzata e più i danni aumentano; inoltre gli attacchi si sviluppano in linea retta (salvo abilità particolari) andando a colpire il primo personaggio in ordine di posizione, per questo quindi, personaggi offensivi potrebbe convenire posizionarli in cima così da aumentarne i danni, così facendo saranno però più esposti; al contrario tenere di fronte un tank potrebbe sì difendere i vostri personaggi nelle retrovie ma diminuire le vostre possibilità di sferrare attacchi efficaci. E non finisce qui, ogni vostro attacco in dissonanza creerà un omonimo cerchio all’interno del quale i vostri eroi potranno utilizzare in attacco le proprie abilità speciali. Un personaggio all’interno di un cerchio di dissonanza però non potrà utilizzare la difesa, rendendolo così esposto ai colpi nemici. Un attacco di un tank in armonia infine genererà un cerchio blu che permetterà sì l’utilizzo delle abilità speciali ma allo stesso tempo di potersi anche difendere. Il gameplay è quindi estremamente profondo e le variabili da tenere in conto sono veramente molte, i cerchi di dissonanza ad esempio sono più facilmente attivabili ma oltre a scoprirvi in difesa più ne verranno creati durante una partita più alte saranno le possibilità che esplodano danneggiando l’intero team. Sono presenti le affinità elementali che permetteranno attacchi multipli e difese di gruppo e moltissime altre caratteristiche legate alle abilità che scoprirete soltanto esplorando a fondo il titolo. La gestione di un campo di battaglia in Prodigy Tactics dopo qualche turno richiederà molta attenzione e anche un piccolo errore di calcolo potrebbe facilmente portare alla morte di uno dei vostri personaggi o addirittura alla disfatta.
