Descrizione Robin Hood è un gioco d'azione e avventura che combina elementi di RPG e di costruzione, dove si gioca il ruolo di un eroe classico che combatte per la causa di coloro che sono oppressi dalla tirannia. Il gioco si gioca in terza persona. Come re dei ladri, dovrai rubare, combattere, cavalcare, sparare con un arco, aiutare i poveri e sviluppare un villaggio nella foresta e la sua comunità. Il gioco offrirà un mondo aperto che potremo esplorare liberamente. Robin Hood è un eroe delle leggende popolari inglesi medievali che viveva con i suoi compagni nella foresta di Sherwood e combatteva contro il dispotico sceriffo di Nottingham. Incontrerai personaggi leggendari come Lady Marion, Little John, Brother Tuck, Allan from the Valley e Will Scarlet. Il tuo compito principale sarà quello di costruire la più grande comunità possibile di fuorilegge ribelli. Cercherai reclute tra i contadini delle fattorie e dei villaggi circostanti, così come tra la gente e le guardie di Nottingham City. Per mantenere i tuoi alleati in salute, dovrai occuparti di molti aspetti della vita delle persone. Il primo compito sarà costruire un campo nella foresta, che dovrà espandersi con l'arrivo di più persone. Dovrai scegliere un luogo strategico nella vasta foresta di Sherwood e fornire agli abitanti condizioni di vita adeguate, cibo, vestiti, equipaggiamento e armi per il combattimento ravvicinato e a lunga distanza. Dovrai assegnare le reclute alle gilde appropriate e addestrarle in un determinato campo. Nel villaggio avrete bisogno di cacciatori, guardie, ladri, costruttori, agricoltori. Inoltre, avrai bisogno di commerciare con le fattorie locali e i mercanti della città. Una parte importante del tuo lavoro sarà attaccare le forze dello sceriffo di Nottingham, e i ricchi mercanti che guadagnano denaro lavorando con il dispotico e usurpatore sovrano. Ci saranno molti modi per arricchirsi nel gioco, come tendere imboscate ai convogli reali nella foresta di Sherwood, attaccare i cavalieri dello sceriffo, combattere pericolosi banditi e derubare le case dei ricchi rappresentanti dell'aristocrazia. Trama È la fine del XII secolo e Robin Longstride (diventato orfano ancora senza sapere il motivo), è un semplice arciere militare inglese, impegnato in Francia. In seguito alla morte in battaglia del buon re d'Inghilterra Riccardo, Robin e tre altri soldati amici suoi, tentano di ritornare in patria, dopo dieci anni di battaglie all'estero contro i francesi, i quali sono guidati da Sir Godfrey, un generale inglese, ma in realtà fedele al re di Francia Filippo Capeto. Lungo la via del ritorno Robin e gli amici si imbattono nell'imboscata che Godfrey tende alla Guardia Reale inglese. Il Re di Francia, in precedenza, aveva ordinato a Godfrey di assassinare Riccardo. Subito dopo l'imboscata Godfrey, parlando con una delle vittime, scopre di avere già ucciso il Re in battaglia e, all'arrivo di Robin, fugge via trafiggendo a morte la vittima. Con lo scopo di ritornare in Inghilterra ricchi e in salute, Robin ed i suoi uomini prendono armi e denaro dai cavalieri uccisi nell'imboscata, oltre alla corona da riportare a Londra. Prima di lasciare la scena del massacro, Robin promette alla vittima uccisa da Godfrey (la quale è un cavaliere e generale, Sir Robert Locksley) di riportare al padre la sua spada a Nottingham. This excellent album was recorded and released in 1976 and was composed and conceived to mark the landing on Mars of Nasa's Viking 2 Explorer in September of that year. For the sessions, saxophonist and woodwind player Jack Lancaster and keyboard player Robin Lumley were joined by John Goodsall on guitars, Percy Jones on bass and Phil Collins on drums. The finished album was an incredible work and paved the way for the formation of the acclaimed group Brand X soon after. This new edition of 'Marscape' has been remastered from newly discovered original master tapes. "Lancaster is the former sax player in Blodwyn Pig, but this album is better-known for its side-players: Robin Lumley, John Goodsall, Percy Jones, Phil Collins, Morris Pert... in short, Brand X! Fans of Brand X actively search out this album expecting a pre-Brand X Brand X album. Well, yes and no. One can certainly hear the Brand X style in embryonic form on some songs, but we must remember, this is really Lancaster's show. Lancaster primarily plays sax, but he also plays a lot of Lyricon, an early wind synthesizer. Sometimes, it's hard to tell which synth lines were played by Lumley or Lancaster, although others have a definite "reedy" quality to their sound (i.e., you can tell by the phrasing that the notes came out of a wind instrument and not a keyboard). Other guest appearances include Penguin Cafe Orchestra mainstay Simon Jeffes on koto, while vocalist Bernie Frost graces some songs with his eerie falsetto, though none of the songs has any lyrics. The songs fall into two distinct categories: 1) Soft and atmospheric with gentle melodies expressed on sax/Lyricon/flute backed by Lumley's keyboards (usually piano) and 2) Jazz-fusion somewhat in the Mahavishnu mold with prominent sax and energetic rock backing. The latter passages are those which will be of greatest interest to Brand X fans, Percy Jones' distinctive bass playing being most prominent. One can't help but wonder if the program music on this album was perhaps originally intended to be a soundtrack of some sort. Worth getting if you know what to expect."
