Quella che si preannunciava come una piacevole avventura per il giovane Caleb, l'incontro con l'affascinante quanto misteriosa Mae, si rivela ben presto un terribile incubo: Mae è infatti una vampira che vive insieme a una strana famiglia sopra un camper a bordo del quale viaggia attraverso l'America.
