Pechino Express è un adattamento del format belga-olandese Peking Express prodotto da Magnolia ed in onda a partire dal 2012 .La prima edizione è andata in onda con la conduzione di Emanuele Filiberto di Savoia. A partire dalla seconda edizione alla conduzione del programma c'è Costantino Della Gherardesca, già concorrente della prima edizione. Nel corso dell'adventure game Costantino della Gherardesca, con la sua ironia e con un tocco di sarcasmo, accompagna le 8 coppie di concorrenti durante il loro viaggio. Un itinerario ricco di difficoltà che mette a dura prova i partecipanti tra sbalzi climatici e cambi di altitudine che mette le coppie di fronte a continue prove di resistenza psico-fisica. Nell'ultima edizione la 9a del 2022 i concorrenti attraversano quattro Paesi del Medio Oriente: Turchia, Uzbekistan, Giordania, Emirati Arabi.

La piccola Cataleya vive a Bogotà con i genitori, Fabio e Alicia. Il padre intrattiene rapporti malavitosi con Don Luis. Al termine di un loro incontro, Don Luis manda il proprio scagnozzo Marco ad eliminare la famiglia Restrepo. Fabio, che prevede questa mossa, sta per prepararsi a scappare quando è accerchiato, nella propria dimora e con la propria famiglia, non c'è altro da fare che controbattere. A questo punto Cataleya viene lasciata in disparte e le viene affidato il "passaporto" per la sua libertà, un microchip contenente files che dovrà consegnare all'ambasciata americana. Da quel momento Cataleya si trasforma in una fredda assassina pronta a vendicare la sua famiglia.
