Totsuko è una liceale che vive a Nagasaki. La ragazza ama molto la musica e ha un potere speciale, riesce a vedere le emozioni delle persone sotto forma di colori. Ogni persona si presenta ai suoi occhi circondata da colori specifici che le fanno capire se sia triste, felice o arrabbiata. Questa dote fa di lei una ragazzina molto sensibile e sempre attenta a preoccuparsi dello stato d’animo delle persone che la circondano. La persona che emana il suo colore preferito è la sua compagna di scuola Kimi. Un giorno, in una libreria, incontra Rui, un ragazzo con una grande passione per la musica come lei. Incantata e ispirata da Kimi e Rui, Totsuko sogna di formare con loro una band, è così che i tre iniziano a esercitarsi in una vecchia chiesa su un’isola.
